A fatal shooting involving law enforcement at a rehabilitation and nursing center in York County, Pennsylvania, is currently under investigation. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon (May 2) at Rest Haven, located in Spring Garden Township.
The York County Coroner's Office confirmed the death of a 32-year-old man, whose identity will be released after additional family members are notified. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday (May 3). The shooting involved Spring Garden Township Police, and the Pennsylvania State Police are leading the investigation.
According to Trooper James Grothey, there is no danger to the public following the incident. However, drivers have been advised to avoid the area if possible. The circumstances leading to the man's presence at Rest Haven are still being investigated.
